Blood Pressure - How to Keep it Controlled

High blood pressure is a dangerous disease. Maintaining it and controlling it by lifestyle changes, better
exercise and food habits along with taking the medication as directed by your physician are very important to
live a longer and fuller life.
Small things such as lowering fat and sodium within your diet and making healthier choices when picking foods
along with getting an adequate amount of exercise daily can all help keep your blood pressure under control. A
great goal is to incorporate at least 8 vegetables and fruits within your dietary regimen every day.

Cutting back on alcoholic beverages and stopping the smoking habit is another sure way of getting on the road to
a more controlled pressure.

Losing some weight also helps blood pressure remain lower and at more normal levels, even 10-15 pounds can
make a great and healthy difference. Women and men who suffer from  blood pressure problems often think it will
all be okay, I don’t need to change habits or take medications. They are sometimes fatally wrong and don’t find out
before it is too late. Medications can help control blood pressure and if recommended by your physician should be
taken regularly.

There are also natural ways to help lower high blood pressure and keep it under more control such as
pomegranate, juice of the passion fruit, flax seed oil and other omega 3 rich foods, apple cider vinegar, garlic
either eaten or in supplemental forms, cayenne peppers and adding more soy to your diet.

Uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause severe health problems such as heart attack, stroke, diabetes and
death, so its importance of controlling it is a very realistic and important factor.

Grab a friend and take a brisk walk around your neighborhood or park and enjoy nature and relax, this is a perfect
way to get more exercise into your life and be healthier an happier.
